RACOS was founded by a preconstruction professional who lived the problem and two engineers who spent their careers building systems that had to work under real pressure. We decided to fix it.
The problem we lived
Every preconstruction team knows the drill: hundreds of pages of specs, dozens of drawing sheets, addenda that arrive at the last minute. Critical details are scattered across documents, and the only way to build a defensible scope is to manually hunt through everything, hoping nothing falls through the cracks.
Scope gaps become RFIs. RFIs become change orders. Change orders become disputes. And margins erode before the first shovel hits dirt.

The founders
Joey Frisco
Founder & CEO
Joey grew up watching his father manage construction projects, sparking a lifelong passion for the industry. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Construction Management, he spent four years with a mid-sized GC in Tampa. He advanced to Senior Project Engineer, working across preconstruction and project management on ground-up commercial projects.
It was during this time that Joey experienced the daily reality of fragmented data and manual scoping workflows. Convinced the industry deserved better tools, he founded RACOS to bring intelligent clarity to how we build.

Daniel King
Co-Founder & CTO
Daniel is an AI engineer. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Economics from the University of Florida, then spent four years building production AI and machine learning systems inside two enterprise consulting practices.
At Deloitte he designed enterprise generative AI and retrieval systems for Fortune 500 clients. Before that, at 3Cloud, he engineered cloud-hosted machine learning systems for a similar roster, including production forecasting models and conversational agents for executives. The pattern he kept hitting is why RACOS exists. The same fundamental problems surfaced on engagement after engagement, and consulting solved them one client at a time instead of once, properly, as a product.
As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Daniel owns the technical direction of the platform: the systems that read a project’s drawings and specifications together and turn them into structured scope, the traceability that lets a team follow the output back to its source, and the learning that makes a firm’s second project sharper than its first.
